My name is Peter Westh, and I sometimes work under the artist alias Westhen Pieters.
I am a photographer and visual artist primarily focused on fine art photography. My practice extends into AI, painting, film, and mixed media. Nature, in all its forms, inspires me. Much of my work explores the complexities of the human condition and the significance of living fully in the present moment.
Iconic figures such as Diane Arbus, Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, Peter Lindbergh, Guy Bourdin, and Helmut Newton shaped the formative years of my artistic journey. With a foundation in portrait, fashion, beauty, and commercial photography, these influences continue to inform and enrich my creative expression.
I have contributed to numerous editorials for international publications, including Big Show Couture Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, TANK Magazine, and Vogue.
In addition to my commercial work, I have actively participated in several exhibitions showcasing my photographic works.
I have made my business an extension of my artistic practice, making my work accessible to art lovers and collectors.
Over the past three decades, I have built a diverse catalogue of vintage prints, painted photographs, spin paintings, and small sculptures—each capturing distinct periods of my career. Every piece reflects a unique narrative and artistic approach.
I offer original artwork and high-quality fine art prints. Many of my later works explore the complexity of the human experience and the importance of presence and self-awareness.
