"When I recently went through a stressful period, it prompted me to step back. During that time, I turned to this image as a form of meditation. Flowers have long been symbols of mindfulness ever since the lotus became an icon of spiritual reflection.
Reflecting on life and inspired by the powerful Roman phrase carpe diem—'seize the day'—and the idea of living fully in the present moment. To deepen the narrative, I incorporated a subtle skull image at the centre, symbolising the fragility of life.
I'm producing a limited edition of this piece in black and white, deep pastel pink, deep orange versions, and a version without the skull. Additionally, I'm creating a small batch featuring hand-printed diamond dust on the skull to emphasise the message."
