Description:
During a recent period of stress, I found myself turning to this image as a form of meditation. Flowers have long symbolised mindfulness—since the lotus first became an emblem of spiritual reflection—and this work became a personal exploration of presence and awareness.

Inspired by the timeless Roman phrase carpe diem (“seize the day”), I sought to capture the essence of living fully in the present moment, a practice that is far more challenging than it seems. To deepen the narrative, I incorporated a subtle skull at the centre of the composition, symbolising the fragility and impermanence of life.

This artwork forms part of an evolving series that will expand into several curated editions, including limited releases in deep orange and black and white. A diamond dust edition in each colour—limited to 2 + 1 AP—will feature hand-applied diamond dust on the skull, enhancing its luminosity and symbolic impact.
