Description: In Merging, I explore the relationship between human-made structures and the natural world—spaces where the two intertwine and coexist. The image of the rigid structure stands as a quiet reminder of the fragility of human creations and the inevitability of decay.
While our constructions may outlast us, they too are impermanent, slowly reclaimed by nature and time. This work contemplates the delicate balance between endurance and transience, permanence and impermanence, and the continuous dialogue between what we build and what the earth reclaims.
This work was featured in my 2022 exhibition “Thus Far” at Bredgade, Copenhagen.
