Artwork description: “Lust” is a photograph I shot as a pitch for a beauty campaign around 2007-2008. I see it as a commentary on how our modern society, to some extent, seems to have replaced love with lust and material things. The photograph, which I printed in four different colours, was inspired by the seductive, lush colours of the lips during the shoot. Initially, I named the work “Lust”as a working title, but upon seeing the final image, I realised that the title perfectly conveys a deeper narrative”.
