Artwork description: “Lust” is a photograph I shot as a pitch for a beauty campaign around 2007-2008.
This work reflects my thoughts on how modern society, to some extent, has shifted from valuing love to emphasizing lust and material things. When I created this piece, I too was captivated by form and desire, which deeply influenced the process. The photograph, printed in four different colors, was inspired by the lush, seductive tones of the lips during the shoot.
Initially, I titled the work Lust as a placeholder, but when I saw the final image, I realized the title perfectly captured a more profound narrative that had emerged through the creative process."
